Life is hard. Sometimes very hard.
Jesus, thankfully, tells us that we can have His wisdom and support and care when life is hard.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men. John 1:4
Jesus is light. In one sense he is like a flashlight in a dark room.
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. John 9:5
Do we believe this? We take aspirin because we believe it relieves pain. Believing in God can be tough, especially when life is not going our way. Trust God.
I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. John 12:46
Trust God even when you don’t feel like it. Trust Him because we know deep down not to trust Him make hard situations harder.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
